I was raised in Michigan, near Detroit. I attended MSU and earned a BS, MS, and Ph.D. The Ph.D. was in Statistical Genetics and Animal Breeding. In 1967 I took a job as a Biometrician with the U.S.D.A., A.R.S, Biometrical Services, in Beltsville, MD. In 1968 I took a job in the Department of Statistics at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS as an Assistant Professor with a half time teaching and research and half time consulting appointment. The consulting responsibilities included helping personnel associated with the Agricultural Experiment Station design experiments and analyze data. I got my first horse and first mule in 1971 and have had equines since that time. I got my first MFT in 1991 and have had them ever since. I now have 6 MFT's. I retired from KSU this past May as Professor Emeritus, after 39 years of service. I am still working on research projects with some of my previous clients. |
